About

Erienne McCray is a queer comic artist and illustrator. She earned her Master of Fine Arts in Comics from the Center for Cartoon Studies in May 2018. She currently lives in Arkansas, looking for a steady job, and pursuing art as a passion project.

The focus of Erienne’s work is on queer stories, especially queer fantasy and sci-fi. Her body of work reflects on humankind’s natural desire to reach out and connect with other people. Her 2018 Master's thesis thesis, “Going the Distance” deeply explored the idea of distance, separation, and connection between individuals.

Erienne writes semi-regular journal comics, which she collects under the title “Conversations with Someone Who is Definitely Not God.” The first selected works volume was part of her 2018 thesis.
